Tinchy Stryder Famous Lyrics
Anyone Else Do This With Music?
Well, When I Listen To An Artist They Are Usually Underground And Not Well Known. But When They Get Famous Then I Just Can't Listen To Them. Usually Their QUality of Music Becomes Crappy as They Lick The Mainstream's Butts, And Usually Theit Lyrics Change To Please The Mainstream, it Just Ruins The Whole Experience.
I'm From The UK And The Two Major Artist To Make Me Ask This Question are:
N-Dubz - Been A Fan Since 2006, They Started Off Talkin' 'Bout The Streets, Got Famous A Few Months Ago And Now Make Music About Love And Shit?
Tinchy Stryder - Been Listening Since '07, He Made A Diverse Style of Music, Now He Talks 'Bout How Much He Loves This Girl etc. I'm Fine With Love Songs But it Feels Like A Sell Out =/
Maybe I'm Just Weird...
I suggest you learn to appreciate an artists music because the music is good, not because the music is classified as mainstream or not. Just be glad that your favorite artists are finally getting the recognition they deserve.
I've recently spotted my favorite band, Animal Collective, in local music stores. I'm happy to see that they've made it so big, and much like the Beatles, their sound has become much more distinct and unique now that they've "made it".
The determining factor for me is whether or not the band changed their style in order to "get noticed". Appocolyptica added a singer to their roster to become more mainstream, which means they've conformed to societal norms about what a "good rock band" looks and sounds like. Animal Collective has changed nothing.
But like I said, appreciate music for what it is, and try not to make it an extension of yourself as an attempt to be unique by listening to bands that none of your friends do. It's a gross misuse of music.
