My friend is going a little overboard :/?

My friend is really nice, but seriously, she's going a little bit over the top...
I'm not emo or anything like that but I like the style of music, and I choose to dress kind of indie/scene and listen to that genre and hang out with people like that at school. She used to be a really girly girl, why - there's pictures of her on Facebook in pink tube tops - but anyway, she listens to mainstream and crap like that, (N-Dubz, Clubland, Tinchy Stryder) and claims she also LOVES Paramore, Hollywood Undead, Flyleaf etc. And now she's going to dye her hair red. Proper red. I think she should seriously stop, but if I try to tell her not to, she'll just ignore me and say ''Well it's not your opinion, is it?'' and we've NEVER had a fight before, I'm seriously not kidding. So what should I do? :/
Encourage her to do what makes her happy.
